Andrew Pakes, Labour & Co-operative Parliamentary Candidate for Peterborough commented:

“Just like the findings of this latest survey, the cost of living crisis is the biggest issue people raise with me. Bills up, food prices up, mortgages up, wages down. Peterborough is a working city but families have been let down by a government that is out of touch with ordinary families.

“Families are being worn out not just with their jobs but with financial chaos and stress cause by Liz Truss’ irresponsible budget. No-one should have to lie awake at night worrying whether they’ll be able to feed their children or turn the heating on. But that is now the reality for too many families.”
