North West Cambridgeshire Labour Party announces Fletton and Woodston by-election candidate

North West Cambridgeshire Labour Party has announced that Adam Marshall will be the Labour candidate in the upcoming Fletton and Woodston by-election on 16th July.

Adam was born and raised in Peterborough, and has a track record of community activism and standing up for people in need. When he was just 16, he took on a major project of carrying out small community projects – painting fences, gardening, shopping for people needing support – and used the proceeds to travel overseas and carry out humanitarian work supporting people in poverty. Adam wants to take forward that community-centred mindset into representing Fletton and Woodston on the City Council.

Adam Marshall, Labour’s candidate, said:

“Residents in Fletton and Woodston are desperate for change, solutions to local problems, and a committed representative on Peterborough City Council. People feel abandoned and brushed under the carpet – that has to change.

Whether it’s ongoing anti-social behaviour, the state of our local roads, or people in poverty – residents know what the issues are but for too long they have gone unaddressed.

If elected, I will work to address these fundamental problems and restore pride in Fletton and Woodston – pressing for CCTV coverage of fly-tipping hotspots, fighting for our area to get it’s fair share of funding for roads after our Labour Government has doubled that, lobbying for more visible local policing, and much more.”

Any local resident that would like to speak to Adam or discuss a local issue in the Fletton and Woodston ward can reach him by emailing adam.for.fletton.and.woodston@gmail.com
