As your elected councillor and Cabinet Adviser for Adults and Health, I’m proud to serve our community with a clear purpose: to fight for better services, safer streets, and a more compassionate and cooperative future for everyone.
I know first hand the challenges we face—whether it’s declining services, rising antisocial behaviour, or the visible impact of drugs in our neighbourhoods. I entered politics because I believe we can—and must—do better. We deserve to have local government that listens, that acts, and that puts people first.
Week after week, I hear from residents who are concerned about safety and the erosion of basic services. You’re not alone in feeling let down. That’s why I’ve been vocal about the urgent need for stronger neighbourhood policing, more proactive community engagement, and a commitment to real investment—not just quick fixes.
We need a bolder, more connected approach to tackling crime and antisocial behaviour—one that goes beyond enforcement to address the root causes.
In my role as a Cabinet Adviser, I’ve been exploring new and more effective ways to deliver the vital services our community depends on. I believe we can move toward a cooperative model of public service—where residents are not just recipients, but active partners in shaping how support is provided.
This means working with the community, not just for it. It means giving people a voice, sharing responsibility, and designing services that reflect the lived experiences of those who use them.
For me, leadership isn’t about promises—it’s about partnership. It’s about standing up, speaking out, and showing up for the people I serve.
Thank you for putting your trust in me. I’ll continue working hard every day to earn it.
