As the Cabinet Member for Adults and Health on Peterborough City Council, I do not underestimate the importance of my role within the Labour Group who now hold the Administration within the city. Within this role I oversee public health and adult social care services for the city.

I am also one of three Labour Councillors for the East Ward in Peterborough. I was elected in 2019 and like to think that I’m responsive, available and have an average turnaround time of responding to emails and queries within 48 hours maximum. I also work two days a week as an NHS GP at Park Medical Centre within the city, and I love my job within the NHS.

My achievements as a councillor have notably included representing and holding the local authority to account over the St Michael’s Gate Saga in 2019, remediating works for sewerage leakage on Potters Way Estate, offering Taxi Medical examinations as a qualified doctor, and donating all proceeds to local Foodbanks and charitable endeavours. I have also undertaken many other significant projects in highways, healthcare, education, street cleaning and crime prevention.
